We must first consider the possible storyline for our film. We must examine whether they will be believable, will attract our chosen target audience or have the right qualities for a film influenced by French new wave.

Here are some sub genres that may influence us:

• Gangster film, criminal on the run with his girlfriend
• Forbidden love
• Following the life of a drug addict
• Hatred and revenge

Films in the industry that we could use for inspiration:

1. 'Made inthe U.S.A'
2. 'Band of outsiders'
3. 'Breathless' (1983)
4. 'Stolen kisses'
5. 'Paris belongs to us'

I will look at these films and their storylines and see what is the codes and conventions of a 'french new wave' story-lines are.
